About K-POP Archive

This site was built with this purpose from the start: to find Korean artists by the era they debuted in, from the 1960s to today, collect their albums and songs into a list, and show each song with its YouTube video.

What this site does

  1. Finding Korean artists by era

Based on the debut year, we automatically find Korean artists from the 1960s through the 2020s.

  2. Collecting albums and songs

We organize each artist's albums and tracks and keep them as one list.

  3. Linking every song to a YouTube video

We look for the official video of each song and link it. If a video cannot be played, one button swaps it for another.

  4. Checking that the era is really right

This site divides artists by debut year, so only artists whose debut year is confirmed against several sources are published. Wrong data is never fixed automatically; a person checks it.

Fixing mistakes together

Automatically collected data can be wrong. If the artist is wrong, it is not a song, or the era is off, tell us with "This info is incorrect". Suggested fixes to a year or title are applied only after an admin reviews them.

Find and add the artists you love, togetherComing soon

This archive is not meant to be filled by one person. It is meant to be built together with people who find and add the artists they love and discover more through each other. Sign in to favorite artists, albums and songs, or exclude artists and songs you dislike. Managing the artists you added and browsing artists other people found is being opened in the same spirit.

Artist and album information comes from MusicBrainz and Wikipedia, and videos link to official videos published on YouTube. Copyright of the videos belongs to their rights holders.
